The Moors! For many, this inspiring space is one of the reasons to live in and around Okehampton. To wonder the wilderness of Dartmoor with your dog, friends and family is a great pleasure and one that we should not take for granted. Dartmoor is a special place that is now even more accessible with the re-opening of the “Dartmoor Line”.
With the opening of the Station in recent years and a parkway under construction, the town is certainly on the map. Having appeared in the media as one of the most up and coming towns in the county, our humble town is certainly growing and improving each year.
We can help advise on Okehampton and its amenities, the local outlying villages and what they can offer. Education at primary and secondary level, shopping, local clubs and facilities.
With numerous gyms, football, rugby, golf and many other sports catered for there is something for everyone.
For those looking for something different there is wild swimming locally, paddle boarding at Roadford, surfing on the north coast or grass bowls at Simmons Park.
